We are thrilled to announce that Nearby Nearby has been selected as one of the eight high-potential startups in the Council for Entrepreneurial Development GRO Accelerator program, an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and accelerate our growth.
We are part of the eighth cohort, which includes seven technology companies and one medical device company, each chosen for their potential to make a significant impact in their respective industries.
The CED (Council for Entrepreneurial Development) is one of the oldest and largest entrepreneurial support organizations in the nation. For 40 years, CED has played a pivotal role in helping high-growth companies in North Carolina succeed by providing access to resources, mentorship, and a powerful network of industry leaders and investors. The GRO Accelerator program, in particular, is a 12-week intensive initiative designed to support companies that demonstrate high potential for growth and innovation.
Each year, the CED GRO Accelerator selects startups from industries such as technology, healthcare, and life sciences to participate in this program. These companies gain access to workshops, expert mentorship, and networking opportunities that help them refine their business strategies, connect with investors, and scale their operations. The program culminates in Demo Day on November 14th, where companies showcase their progress and pitch to potential investors and partners.
Being selected for the CED GRO Accelerator is an incredible opportunity for Nearby Nearby. This program will allow us to gain valuable insights, access mentorship from industry experts, and further develop our platform with the guidance and support of the CED network. As a rural tech company focused on empowering small towns and local businesses, this accelerator aligns perfectly with our mission to bridge the gap between rural communities and modern technology.
